Derwen College: Winner of the Queens Award for Enterprise 2022Our main campus is in Gobowen, near Oswestry, in North Shropshire, where we welcome both Day and Residential students.

We have a further three sites for Day students, based around Shropshire. These are located at Ludlow, Telford and Walford.

Gobowen, near Oswestry

The original Derwen College site, in Gobowen, was established in 1927 by Dame Agnes Hunt.

For over 95 years, Derwen College has continued Dame Agnes' vision, by providing young people with SEND the opportunity to gain work and independence skills to become either partially or wholly self-supporting.

Ludlow

Our newest site opened in October 2021, at Ludlow’s Eco Business Park.
With excellent transport links, it offers day students the opportunity to learn work and independent living skills, providing them with a tool-kit for future employment.

Telford

With close links to train and bus routes, Derwen College Telford offers day students the opportunity to develop core skills that directly relate to their work-based aspirations within the Business Support, Sales and Marketing or Hospitality and Housekeeping sectors.

Walford, near Shrewsbury

The Walford Campus is situated amidst a beautiful 220-hectare estate near Baschurch, just a few miles west of Shrewsbury with a network of transport routes from Telford, Shrewsbury, North Shropshire and the Welsh borders.
