The Garden Centre and Gift shop is open. Here you will find a range of seasonal plants, shrubs, gifts and cards.
The Garden Centre and Gift Shop at Derwen College, Oswestry, offers a wide range of nursery stock, ‘Made@ Derwen’ products and locally sourced artisan goods.
Staff at our Garden Centre and Gift Shop are able to advise you on the wide variety of both indoor and outdoor plants we have to offer.
You can also order at our new online shop for a click-and-collect, or a local free home delivery service for orders over £15. You can also order plants, gifts and hampers over the phone on 01691 779231.
The plants and flowers on display are mainly home-grown at Derwen College, but are also supplemented by other suppliers. We are pleased to be one of David Austin Roses’ specially selected outlets.
Derwen College students are widely involved in the seed sowing, potting-on and selling of plants on display.
Seasonal outdoor plants include trees (ornamental and fruit), soft fruit, roses, shrubs, herbaceous plants and bedding plants are available.
The Garden Centre also stocks gifts and cards produced by local businesses. Additionally, you can purchase a variety of local dairy, bakery and other grocery products.
Made@Derwen chutneys, jams, cakes, breads and pastries are available to purchase. You can shop for unusual gifts, cards, tools and equipment too. We have a range of handmade soaps, jewellery and artisan wooden items. Items made by Derwen College students include, pottery, felt crafts, cards, jewellery and other gifts and keepsakes.

Diversion in place 25 October to 26 November 2021
From 25 October to 26 November 2021 the entrance to the Garden Centre car park on Twmpath Lane will be closed due to essential on-going maintenance work by Severn Trent Water.
Please follow the diversion signs which will take you through Gobowen. You can enter the site via our (Orangery) entrance on Whittington Road.
