On Friday 24 March Derwen College sports teachers Sian and Steve started a challenge to cycle 24 hours non-stop on spin bikes to raise funds for Derwen Charity. Students, staff and residents at Derwen joined Sian and Steve every step of the way to help raise over £12,000 in 24 hours!
The Spinathon raised funds for Derwen Charity which supports people with learning difficulties and disability. All funds raised will be used to enhance sports and gym equipment at Derwen College, as well as being used to support independence and works skills.
