There was excitement and enthusiastic applause at Derwen College’s Gobowen as the results of our Student Council elections were announced during the regular Friday all-student meeting.

Candidates had prepared and shared speeches, and voting took place to elect representatives for each pathway, programme and residence.

Outgoing Student Council President Jonathan Wiltshire wished all the candidates well and reflected on his year in the role.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a year with so many memories made. It’s been a busy one and I’ve really enjoyed it,” said Jonathan.
