Derwen Charity’s 24-hour Sponsored Spinathon 2024
Our 24-hour charity spinning challenge is taking place NOW!!
Join Derwen College staff as they take on a challenge to cycle 24-hours non-stop on spin bikes to raise funds for Derwen Charity which supports people with special educational needs and disabilities.
Funds raised will be used to support the outdoor education offer that enhances student and client welfare.

What you need to know
- All spinners are to raise a minimum of £10 per hour to secure their place in the Spinathon
- There are limited numbers of bikes available so book in advance to secure yours
- Want a challenge, but don’t fancy doing the whole 24-hours? The early hours of Saturday morning (1am to 6am) usually have the most bikes available
- Water and hot drinks are available on site – we ask all spinners and supporters to bring a refillable bottle and a mug to reduce the reliance on buying disposable bottles and cups
- Spinners to bring their own snacks to see them through their spinning session
- There will be entertainment throughout the event to keep you entertained and awake through the early hours!
