Fire Walk at Whittington Castle

Derwen College has five fundraisers taking part in Whittington Castle’s charity fire walk on Saturday 28 March.

Participants in the event will walk barefoot over hot embers reaching 648°C during a professionally organised firewalk at Whittington Castle.

Come along and support the fire walkers! The event is open 4pm to 9pm and will also have stalls and entertainment for all the family:

  • Axe throwing
  • Archery
  • Bush craft demo including fire-making
  • Tai Chi
  • Children’s fire walk (on a red carpet!)
  • Sword fighting workshop for children
  • Artisan stands
  • Caricature artist
  • Face painting
  • Wrexham lager beer tent
  • BBQ and other food stands
  • Three live music acts (John Hughes, OsRocks and the Mirrors)

The highlight of the evening will be 80 people fire walking to raise funds for multiple good causes. Find out more about Derwen College’s fire walkers below.

London Marathon Tombola

Also attending the Fire Walk at Whittington Castle will be Connor Barker who is running the London Marathon to raise money for Derwen Charity.

He will have a tombola stall at the Fire Walk to help towards his fundraising efforts.
