Kathleen “K” Kimber
Following Miss Irene Gull’s retirement, Mrs Kathleen Kimber was Derwen College’s Chair of Governors / Trustees 2012–2025.
We are delighted that K Kimber has been awarded an MBE in the King’s 2026 Birthday Honours List for services to education.
The honour recognises K’s outstanding contribution to improving opportunities for young people across the further education sector, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), both at Derwen College and more widely.
