Dogs are welcome, and local running groups are encouraged to come along for a fun run. It’s a friendly, no-pressure event, making it the perfect introduction to a 10km distance.
Participants are welcome to run, jog, walk or wheel their way the route. A shorter 6 km route is available for anyone wishing to choose it on route.
Following a warm-up at 9.45am, runners will lead the way out of Derwen College, in Gobowen at 10am. The 10km Challenge is an accessible, relatively flat route, with an alternative 6km option available if you prefer to do a shorter circuit.
Every year the Challenge welcomes runners, walkers and wheelers of all abilities. It is a great route if you are new to 10k running – and you have the option, if you need, to do the 6k route.
The route is fully marshalled and roads will remain open, with crossings supervised and traffic warning signs in place.
Each registered finisher receives a medal and goody bag!
Registration for the 10km Challenge opens at 8.30am at Derwen College. All participants should sign-in by 9.30am.
A warm up session takes place at 9.45am, and the 10km Challenge starts at 10am.
