Fitzherbert Jacson, and Alymer Lewis, were ‘in the Chair’ at the Board of Governors / Trustees from 1943 until 1949.

Although not officially elected to Chair of the Board, Fitzherbert Jacson, and Alymer Lewis, were both acting Chair of the Board at meetings of the Governors / Trustees from 1943 until 1949.

This extended period of acting Chair was due to Sir Watkin Williams Wynn absence from meetings, and then over the period of WWII, where meetings were reduced in frequency.
