We recently enjoyed a visit to the club and a look around with Geraint Williams, who has been working hard to secure sponsorship and help give the club a bright future as it approaches its 100th birthday.
Ifton Bowls has celebrated a new Terry Williams Clubhouse, a fresh coat of paint, floodlights and attractive floral planter thanks to community support in the way of sponsorship and donations.
With Derwen College also looking forward to celebrating our centenary next year, it feels extra special to sponsor another much-loved local organisation with such strong community roots.
Our sponsor banner is now proudly displayed on the perimeter fence, alongside other local businesses helping the club to grow. We look forward to upgrading the banner to let you all know about our upcoming events including Christmas Fayre and volunteers days.
Ifton Bowling Club, which has teams in the Shropshire league, has been transformed over the past nine months and is continuing to raise funds for bowls equipment, with plans for taster sessions to encourage youngsters and new starters to give the game a go.
