Our Audience with Santa is back for 2025!
This year listen to Santa tell a magical Christmas story in our winter wonderland.
This is a fully inclusive and accessible event, with a maximum of 20 children per sitting.
Pre-booking has now closed. However we have a couple of spaces left on each of our five opportunities to join Santa & Mrs Christmas at: 10am, 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm.
Tickets cost £12 each, and include a story with Santa and gift bag. Please speak to Mrs Christmas or the Elves at the Christmas Fayre to see if there are any spaces available.

Weather
The weather is looking wet for Saturday 29 November. But that doesn’t mean our festive spirits will be dampened!
Please remember that our event takes places both indoors and outdoors, so please come prepared. You can check the Met Office’s latest weather forecast here.
Please also be aware that some of our parking is on a grass playing field.
Cash or Card?
Whilst many of traders do accept cards, some smaller stalls will be cash-only, so please bring cash with you.
There is no cash point on site at Derwen College, so if you need to pick up cash before the event there is an ATM at the Co-op in Gobowen.
The Christmas Fayre is FREE to enter, but we do appreciate any donations towards Derwen Charity – collection tubs will be available throughout the event for any spare change.
Location and Parking
Find parking via Derwen College’s Entrance B (Garden Centre entrance) on Twmpath Lane in Gobowen, near Oswestry.
Please note that parking is limited, so if you are able to attend via public transport, please do so. We recommend arriving in good time if you have booked An Audience with Santa.
Parking will be available at the Garden Centre and at the Orangery Restaurant. There will also be overflow parking on the grass playing field – but please be aware that we are expecting rain on the day, so there is a chance the field could be water-logged, in which case we won’t be able to use it.
Please follow the signs for parking.
Public transport
Gobowen railway station is a 10/15 minute walk from college.
There are also bus stops near to Derwen College ensuring easy transport links to Oswestry and surrounding areas:
- The ‘Gobowen Agnes Hunt‘ bus stop is just a short walk from the main entrance on Whittington Road.
- ‘Park Hall Derwen College entrance‘ bus stop is located on Twmpath Lane. A short walk will take you to reception, along the public footpath next to our sports pitch.
