Makaton Symbol for Work Skills

On the Work Skills Pathway you will build foundation skills to increase your work confidence.

 

You will learn skills on the Work Skills Pathway to increase your self confidence, personal development and help you to make positive choices. The units you do on the pathway will be bespoke to your needs.

As a result of your bespoke programme you will develop problem solving, independence and communication skills.  Learning in a supported, inclusive environment will enable you to identify your chosen pathway.  The pathways on offer are:

Hospitality and Housekeeping

Horticulture

Retail

Performing Arts

We will support your progression every step of the way.  You will learn at your own rate with support when you need it.  You will also have the opportunity to undertake Foundation Studies qualifications from Agored Cymru – Exploring Occupations at Entry Level 1, 2, or 3.

Core elements within this pathway include project work, gardening, Health & Safety. As well as holistic therapies and sport, creativity and environment.  Students on the Work Skills pathway are currently also taking part in Lego therapy which helps with team building and communication skills.
