Welcome to the Hub @ Derwen
The Hub and our new reception area is now located at the heart of the college. You access this area via the main entrance gate to Derwen (Orangery Restaurant entrance).
Derwen was successful in securing funding from The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership Midlands Engine. The funding allowed us to take forward a project to support people with learning difficulties and disabilities into work. We are developing a range of apps to support people with learning difficulties and disabilities in to work.
Future elements of the project will also aid employers to recognise where employees might need additional support at work.
We have also upgraded our meeting rooms at the college and created ‘The Hub @ Derwen’ with funding from the project. The Hub will provide employers with meeting rooms and access to training resources.
Part-funded by The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership via its Growth Deal with Government. Funding was awarded to the college via the LEP’s Growth Deal for capital skills projects.
