Throughout World Book Day 2021 and the following week, staff at Derwen are volunteering to be Masked Readers to entertain and inspire our learners in college and at home.

Students are invited to guess who the reader is and a leaderboard is being kept for The Masked Reader competition, the winning department will receive a trophy.

Our first reader is enjoying “The Wonky Donkey” by Craig Smith and illustrated by Katz Cowley.

The book is based upon a song that Smith wrote in 2005 after hearing the joke “What do you call a donkey with three legs? – A wonky donkey”.
