Here’s some handy information about the 2020 Derwen Fun Run and Walk taking place on Sunday 5th April 2020

Walk/fun run route information

Sponsored walk/fun run information - route map

This is a 10k circular route around Gobowen starting and finishing at Derwen College.  Please arrive at reception (registration) between 10 and 11am as the the walk will start from The Orangery entrance at 11am.

The route is signposted, and well marshaled.  Halfway round you will have the option to take part in the 6k route if you find you can’t complete the 10k option.  The terrain is relatively flat, but at time the roads can be quite narrow.

Please wear sensible shoes – the roads can be quite muddy, but we are sure the scenery and company will over compensate for a bit of mud!

It is important to follow the Highway Code whilst on the walk.  Please click here for the Highway Code Rules for Pedestrians.

All walkers should return to college by 2pm please.

We continue to fundraise to provide our students with opportunities to enhance their learning and independence skills. However, Derwen College relies on donations to make this happen. We raise funds to provide the specialist tools, equipment and experiences our students need to reach their goals.

If you are unable to take part in the Sponsored Walk, there are other ways of supporting Derwen during 2020:

1 – Donate directly to Derwen through our Virgin Money Givingaccount.

2 – Do some fundraising! Contact our Fundraiser Anna Evans to discuss your ideas and get involved.

3 – Come to one of our events.  We have many events taking place throughout the year.

4 – Let your friends and family know about Derwen College.  We are on Facebook and Twitter and always appreciate a share or retweet!
