On the Horticulture pathway you will initially take part in taught sessions in Horticulture to allow you time to enhance and develop your skills and understanding of this vocational area. The core skills you will learn on this pathway include plant production, customer skills and employability skills. This learning takes place in our Walled Garden, Garden Centre and Garden Centre Courtyard. As your horticulture skills continue to develop you will be able to undertake internal work experience placements which give you the opportunity to experience work in a familiar environment before you move on to an external placement. We have strong links with local businesses and are able to offer external work experience placements which will boost your confidence in work and social situations.
