The core aim of the Foundation Study Pathway is to support individuals effectively to increase self confidence, personal development and making positive choices to enable them to access their chosen vocational pathway in a supported inclusive environment. We support the progression of students at their own rate with support at appropriate levels. Core elements within this pathway include gardening, Health & Safety, cooking and shopping, art skills and environment.
Creative Studies Pathway
Within this pathway students can access Visual Arts and Performing Arts. Core Skills include timekeeping, wearing appropriate work wear, health and safety in the workplace, working in a team as well as developing interests, imagination, problem solving, open mindedness, confidence and communication.
Internal work experience opportunities in Creative Studies include working in Aggie’s Art House, DC Narrators, Derwen On Tour, Folksy, Giftware production, Shows, Prop Shop and DigiPad. And external work opportunities include CHALK, Ashdale House, Kidzone, North Shropshire College Hair & Beauty, Art Workshops and bespoke placements.
