Shortly after moving back to Shropshire and wanting to do more creative things I discovered the wonderful day courses at Derwen College led by Jane Hunter.

My most recent course was an introduction to the techniques involved with making a coiled fabric bowl.

We were all delighted with our results. Jane is a gifted and encouraging tutor who allows students to develop according to their own desires and abilities, be they beginner or more expert.  The art room at Derwen is a wonderful place to be creative and messy if required!  Lunch is included in the price and, of course, parking is easy, making this excellent value for money not to mention a relaxing and enjoyable day out.
