Betty's Coffee Shop

Betty’s Coffee Shop is open to the public and to be found adjacent to the Walled Garden and the bowling green. As part of Derwen Enterprises, it provides a real working environment for trainees and students.

Relax in the warm, friendly atmosphere for morning coffee, light lunches or afternoon tea. Betty’s is renowned for the delicious cakes that are baked on the premises and meals that are freshly prepared each day with locally sourced vegetables and salads. Lunch is served between 12 noon and 2 pm and the menu changes daily, reflecting the seasons and the local produce available. A typical menu includes homemade soup with a crusty roll, cottage pie, jacket potatoes with a wide choice of fillings, vegetarian and healthy option dishes. And then there are the puddings … always a hot pudding of the day and a choice of three cold puddings – all served with cream or custard.
