Writing Fiction
START WRITING FICTION - AND DON’T GIVE UP

This course aims to help you do just that. Practical exercises designed to inspire new ideas encourage you to try new techniques. More glass Fusing and Slumping

This course explores the creative side of glass fusing using a number of techniques and experimental materials. Minimal drawing ability is needed and help will be given for design ideas and projects.

Glass Fusing
Exploring the magical world of creating
and firing your own pieces of glass
Tutor: Barbara Cooksey
This is your opportunity to learn about the different techniques to make your own vibrantly designed glass jewellery and small decorative pieces, with hands on, step by step, instructions from an experienced craftsperson. You will explore the properties of glass through experimentation, making several unique pieces that will be fired in the kiln. By using the micro kiln you will design and make a piece to take home on the day, others collected at a later date.

Hand Felting
Come and explore the amazing art of Hand Felting...
Tutor: Jane Hunter
Felt is one of the oldest textiles produced by mankind. The resulting fabric can be used for all kinds of decorative and functional items. Wet felting will be explored in this day course where the basic techniques and principles of felting will be explained and demonstrated. At the end of the day you will have made a piece of felt and some felt balls that you can take away with you.

Hanging Baskets and Container Pots

3D Decoupage
Tutor: Dawn Chatfield
3D Decoupage is the art of picture sculpture. Using a set of 3-5 identical pictures with careful cutting, shaping and gluing in a layered manner, a three dimensional picture is created. Many subjects can be prepared as decoupage, including flowers, birds, animals and rural scenes.
